Just Another Night At Tartarus (OPEN LOG)

Who: Momoretsu Kazuki, Yamaguchi Yuu, Matt[OPEN]
Where: Tartarus
When: Dark Hour - Wednesday May 14
Ratings: PG for fighting and perhaps language depending on who shows up.
Warnings: None yet
Summary: Kazuki goes to Tartarus for some lone training against the weak Shadows on the first 5 floors. /o/ Not expecting company, but she may get it.

Okay, so maybe it was stupid to go alone. Really stupid, even. However, since Kazuki was with Mimir... she didn't feel alone. She eliminated another round of Cowardly Mayas with some melee attacks before finding the transporter and heading back.

Once back on the ground floor, she sighed and sat down on the stairs that led to the face of the clock. Picking up a water bottle that was half empty, she took a drink, wiping her hair out of her eyes. "One more run," she said softly to herself, "That'll be enough." Her Evoker was strapped to her thigh, Kazuki wearing a shorter skirt than she usually did for easier access. She didn't approve of it, but having it there was more effective than having it at her waist.

She leaned her head back, gazing at the ceiling. "One more run," she whispered.

Yuu didn't even know why he was going. He-- never really got to Tartarus without announcing it, and especially never alone. It was careless. He knew that.
But... that night he had way too many things to think about. It was one of these rare moments where he just wished to shut his brain off, and stop thinking about all the bad things. Of course... he knew he had to deal with the problem, but for now... he didn't really want to.
It was just too much and his heart felt like it was about to explode.
For someone like him, who was used to always have a smile on his face, it really was too much.

He was still in his own little world, lost in his thoughts, when he finally reached Tartarus' entry and noticed Kazuki. Yuu was surprised, of course. Why was she alone..?

"...Kazuki?" he asked "Why are you alone here..? It's-- dangerous to go alone."
off in the distance, several gunshots were heard, followed by some inhuman screens. The errie sounds dimmed down as a figure who's blonde hair drapped over him crept up the stairs to the entrance to tartarus. Matt, here for his second straight night, found himself slightly surprised to find 2 people before him. More people seem to be coming here on their own nowadays.

Matt simply looked at the two of them, his two guns (now desert eagles, horray for upgrades) still trailing smoke from their nozzles. "This some kind of a date i barged into?" he wittingly said.
Kazuki looked at Matt. "What kind of idiot would have a date during the Dark Hour?" she asked, raising a brow. She lifted her cane, resting it on her shoulder.
And suddenly, he didn't have the time to reply to Kazuki, that someone interrupted. Who was it? It took him a while, but he finally remembered who Matt was. That guy who was taking care of all those weapon at that time-- right?
Yuu was actually glad Matt was there too: at least it meant Kazuki wasn't alone.

Normally, he would have probably blushed at his words, but that night he really wasn't in the mood.

"Ah... no, no it's not a date."
"Sarcasm would, so would his late cousin the inappropriate joke" Matt replied, shrugging off the rather cold response, which he didn't expect. Sighing, Matt quietly, ejected the clips to his guns, reloading them, before lock and loading. Finally finishing his work with putting his guns in their appropriate holsters. Matt just walked away toward the elevator, touching it to activate it. "So, you're starting from square one?" he decided to ask before leaving
"Can't really start anywhere else," she said, her expression softening a bit, "I want to get stronger... and if that means starting from the bottom, so be it." She meant every word; she felt like she had something to protect now. Of course, that feeling contrasted with the bitter tinge that she knew she was trying to destroy the very thing that gave her sight. But as she told herself every day, a gift only for use during the Dark Hour was not really a gift at all.
Kazuki... it really, really was hard on her, wasn't it? He didn't thought about it before, but to her, getting read of the dark hour would have meant--

"Of course" he replied to Matt "we're going to just train for now, right, Kazuki?" he once again forced a smile "Next time we'll bring more people and actually explore more of this tower."
"whatever you guys say, im going on ahead, i'll be above floor 15 if you can make it..." Matt said with little emotion to it. He normally didn't care that people would come along with him, but it became no point if he was overly strong for any of the monsters around. Touching the elevator again, he selected the 15th floor before feeling his body float around before opening his eyes, finding himself in the floor. "Well...time to get to work then" Matt said, drawing his weapons before making his way to the nearest stairs.
After Matt vanished, Kazuki turned back to Yuu. "Now, as I was saying," she continued, "What's wrong? And don't say nothing, because I already know something's up."
Yuu honestly didn't know what's to say. He couldn't lie, and even if he wanted to, Kazuki was far to perceptive, she would have know.
Was it really fine for him to say? He didn't know, but it probably was better to get it off his chest. Although... he was sorry that was the first serious talk they had when Kazuki could see his face, was something like that.

"It's... difficult to explain" he started, and looked away "It's about my brother."
After a beat, Kazuki gently took Yuu over to the stairs and sat him down before sitting next to him. "Go on," she said simply, turning her body so she was facing him. She seemed a bit... stronger during the Dark Hour; then again, anyone without sight who could suddenly see may have been like that.

Kazuki blinked and looked up. "Yuu-kun?" she asked, standing. She didn't know the face, but... she knew the voice. She smiled and stood, walking over. "I finally have a face to go with the voice," she said softly. During the Dark Hour, her eyes returned, having a bluish lavender color.
Of all the times Kazuki could have seen his face-- it had to be that day. Yuu was a little sad about it, he really had prefered the girl to see his usual cheerful smile.
He looked at her for a moment, and then, when she walked towards him... he did his best to force a smile. This was Kazuki, after all... he had to smile for her.

"I'm... happy to be able to see your eyes too, Kazuchi"
Kazuki's smile fell a bit; even though she had never seen him, she knew something was up. She could hear it in his voice; she could feel it. "What's wrong, Yuu-kun?" she asked, "Did something happen?"
He'd heard things about the tower, mainly from the chairman who was very willing to give him the explanations needed. Just knowing that wasn't going to be enough to satisfy him however. No, he was going to have to take a look for himself before he had any final thoughts about this whole Dark Hour business.

...Okay no. He already decided the whole thing was insane. But he supposed the school turning into a tower could be somewhat awesome in its own strange, eerie way.

Guy just didn't expect there to be people. He was actually hoping he'd be alone, at least it wouldn't feel so strange for coming only to take a peek if there wasn't anyone around. Then again, life apparently liked to watch him be awkward. He was peering in, not actually inside Tartarus itself yet. More like half-in, anyway.
Kazuki blinked, feeling that someone was outside. Keeping her cane ready just in case, she slowly approached the door. "Hello?" she called, "Is someone there?"
Shoot. Noticed. Nothing to do now except just...well. He doesn't know what. "...Yeah?"
"Are you in S.E.E.S.?" she asked, still having her stick at the ready.
Stick did not look very welcoming. At all. For the time being, he was PRETTY sure saying no was not a good idea. "...Sorta?"
Kazuki paused. "Let me guess, you've been offered a position, but haven't decided, right?"
Wow. Close to the mark. All she needed to do was add "because you guys sound crazy" and it would have been perfect. "Right."
Kazuki sighed deeply. "Thought so," she said, sitting down on the steps, "You may as well stay here till the Dark Hour's over. I can keep the weaker Shadows off of you, and usually, they don't appear down here, anyway.
For some reason, Guy rather preferred the idea of protecting himself, because that was pretty much how he did things. He was trying to recall...summoning Persona something Evoker thing. "You got one of dem...Evokers? Whatever dey called, anyway."
"Of course," she replied, the white device easily seen at her thigh.
Oh. So THAT was an Evoker.

...
...
...

He was sorely tempted to ask why it was a gun. But if anything, his limited experience with all things Dark Hour and Persona-related told him that questioning things tended to lead to nowhere. "...Mebbe I should had join just to get one."
